United Heritage Property and Casualty Company (formerly Idaho Mutual Insurance Company) began operations on April 20, 1908. The first board meeting was held in a packing house near Roswell, Idaho, in Canyon County. By the second meeting the Company had built its surplus to $21.92!

In August, 1992, the Company converted from a county mutual to a domestic mutual offering property and casualty insurance in all areas of the state of Idaho. In addition to Idaho, the Company offers insurance in Oregon and Utah.

The company became affiliated with United Heritage Mutual Life Insurance Company and converted to a stock company on November 7, 2000 (see related news article).

United Heritage Property and Casualty Company has paid over $40,000,000 in claims payments to policyholders and has $4,012,800,000 of insurance in force.
